Ongoing Issue when Plex is used on multiple devices

Hi,
I’ve been a Plex (Pass) user for quite some time and I’ve always had an issue when watching on Windows app, then another device and back to the windows app.

I can be half way through a video, turn off my PC - go to the TV and pick up where I left off, watch a couple more episodes - everything is fine.
The problem is when I go back to my PC and go to plex it remembers where i’d last left my PC - NOT my TV.
Which is all sorts of confusing

Is there anyway around this?

the only thing that works is closing the video in Plex PC App first, before shutting down the PC.
I just cant get into the habit of doing this.
Surely Plex app could automatically close it first when the app closes, or PC shuts down?

It seems like a bug but its been around so long, I wonder if it is?

Never just close the app or the browser to stop Plex playback.
Always press the Stop :stop_button: in the player bar at the bottom.

oh - that’s a shame.
is anyway to add an option so it can automatically stop the file when exiting the app?

It cannot do that, because at that time it is already no longer running. You are literally pulling the rug from under it by closing the browser.

I’m not using the browser, just the windows plex app.

surely it can be programmed to neatly close before it ends the process?

I suspect that’s not possible due to the nature of the app.
