Opt out Privacy - Unclaimed Server

So i came across how plex harvests user data through a post else where. Clearly not a value of the data practice. I saw this thread

So by default unless you use your account to login to plex media server there is no way to opt-out out of this data gathering?

A non-claimed server can not opt-out of this data gathering option?

And since it’s written on the internet it must be true, right?

Nothing is “harvested”.
If you take the time to actually read the privacy policy in full (and also take the time to read the numerous explanatory posts by Plex employees), then you’ll see that there is no substance to claims of menace and evil-doing

thanks for sharing. looking at the https://www.plex.tv/about/privacy-legal/privacy-preferences/#pd

it does say it takes playback data.

Question AGAIN is the opting out of this playback data only happens if you create an account and then use the opt out option on this https://www.plex.tv/about/privacy-legal/privacy-preferences/#pd page. So any unclaimed server by default sends back playback data?
