“supported again yesterday” he/she means “supported until yesterday”, translating from some languages again/until can be confused. Of course it was not officially supported, just left to die and die it did last night.
I don’t think anyone at Plex had realized the Panasonic clients would die along with some other lesser known and old Smart TVs, so they just went in today and retro-actively added Panasonic to the announcement. I mean it is a free software app so I can’t complain much that we got no advance notice and an entire popular brand (ok not in the US) stops working, even though it would seem to me allowing an insecure connection in my network would be trivial. But as a software developer myself who tries to support as many “old” users as possible when it is reasonable, I am a bit disappointed.
I mean even if they just added to that post apologising to Panasonic users instead of editing it to appear like it was already announced would be a good thing. Sweeping under rug is not nice.
