Every time I open Plex on the Panasonic T V I get:
The server is temporarily unable to service your request due to maintenance downtime or capacity problems. Please try again later.”
However it still logs in and I can use Plex.
I just switched my server to a new one on Unraid so am unclear if it this is the problem or it is wider Panasonic problem as happened before. I see LG WebOS are reporting similar problems.
All other devices are fine in my home. TV and server are on same network and I have tried both including and leaving blank the server IP in manual servers in Plex. I have my local IPs blanket addressed as not needing authentication in my server settings.
Separately but since the new setup I get Channels appearing in my Plex home - how do I disable this?
Server Version#: Version 1.22.1.4228
Player Version#: 3.13.21
Same problem on Panasonic TV!
I know that Plex don’t want to support Panasonic TV anymore, but in Europe a lot of people love this brand… and we had pay also plexpass!
Oh good. Well, not good, but glad it’s not just my TV. I may have to get a FireTV or similar, just glad I bought a universal remote that supports wireless. Pity.
Panasonic is a good brand - I bought mine at Richer Sounds after a demonstration and the picture quality for the budget was so much better.
I confirm the issue with Panasonic TV! I think that they can “support” our old Panasonic app with a small workaround in the service side… but how can i ask to developers? I own also plex pass, very angry to this issue
Does anyone else get streaming problems now? After about 40mins I get told the item is unplayable. Looking at the Plex log I keep getting user authentication requests.
As with most files my PMS has to transcode for Panasonic app so could be the setup.
Having just switched to a new setup for my PMS on Unraid I don’t know if it is the TV app or my Unraid setup.
"I have to inform you that the error message you keep receiving appears to be related to the App rather than related to the TV.
Please note that Panasonic cannot have control over what the app developers of an app such as Plex do, therefore, please contact them for further information.
I trust that the above information will be of assistance to you, however, if
you should have any further queries, please do not hesitate to contact us."
Without transcode i watched two movies without any kind of issue, excluse of course that annoing message in the startup of the app!
I think that with a very small adjust plex developers can solve our problem, but… how to contact them?
I was using a XBOX 360 to stream content from Plex to a 8 year old Panasonic TV and for awhile everything was ok until I started having issues playing .AVI’s and Plex said support for the XBOX 360 is limited now, so went out and brought a few Panasonic TV’s that support Plex to find out they are not going to support the app like they do with other devices, so again being naive I went out and brought a few Apple TV4 so let’s hope they support the ATV4’s for awhile, otherwise they may as well close down!!
i understand that they don’t want to fix panasonic app… but they can make a “fake” plexserver response that avoid the app to have that error… How much time is needed to develop it? 10 minutes? 20 minutes? The app still work, but that error on startup is very annoying.
Its not that this could be a 10-20 minute fix. Its that all of the 10-20 minute fixes for everything that is unsupported add up to days/weeks/months of work (support) that is required.
