Please vote for this - Panasonic Smart TV app:

Hi everyone, not sure if anyone has tried this. Set your clock time to manual and make the date and time correct. I then relinked to the TV as it said credentials expired and presto it worked for me. Got that suggestion from Panasonic software dev in NZ. Hopefully this will solve it.

Hi S_1RV1NZ,
Glad you were able to get it working.
Unfortunately that didn’t work for me.
Would be great if you can vote at the link above to continue support for the Panasonic app so that we can all continue to use it.

I have the same problem.

Alas, that didn’t work for me. I’m in NZ as well.

my tv is a 2017/2018 model, so i think the other crunch is if your pana is older that wont be supported

I’ve got a TH-50AS640Z which I suspect I got around 2015/16, but honestly can’t remember.

Did you try post 182 ??

I did. I don’t get the search button/eyeglass option. When I go to anything else and then come back in I still have the same issue.

Ah ok. Shame … it appeared for me top left hand corner when I closed the settings box after manually entering the IP address of Plex Server.

Hi Collie086,
Do you have to manually enter the Server IP address into settings on the app every single time you open the app?
Not ideal and not good enough from Plex to leave so many loyal Panasonic users in the dark during a global pandemic.

Yea unfortunately you do have to enter each time. Not ideal but I was happy to see the media screen. I cant answer for Plex but I guess we had been spoilt for such an awesome free app. Unfortunately it appears that the smart tv’s will need to upgrade their side so as not to use an outdated security protocol. (Dont know if thats software or hardware related. Software at a guess). On the Plex side maybe a local network version with external access disabled ??
