Hi Everyone, I posted in General because I am unsure if the client or the server causes this. I noticed searching the forums a bug back in May, but that was casting to Google TV. My Chromecast is a non-Google TV device. Also, with that bug, the user was able to bypass it by changing the next video setting. In my scenario, none of those settings affect the issue, and playback dies at 2 hours. I need to get this fixed or Plex is essentially useless to me and the purchase is a complete waste of money. What kind of logging can I enable to find out what is happening here? Thanks in advance for any help!
For those experiencing issues with Passout Protection, or considering purchasing Plex Pass for this feature, do not bother. Support is non-existant. Some known bugs don’t seem to have an ETA for resolution. If you need to cast multiple videos for more than 2 hours straight, seek a solution that is not Plex. I will not give names, but if you are using TrueNAS there is a competitor in the app repo that does not disconnect you from your own server.
