Per Episode Background Feature Not Removed Yet?

I was doing some searching and found this thread from 2 years ago. In it, drzoidberg33 said that the background art was a feature that’s no longer supported, but waiting on an update to the web player to remove the option. It’s been 2 years, yet this option is frustratingly still there. I just spent 20 minutes trying to figure out why I couldn’t set a per-episode background.

Why has this still not been removed from the web player’s episode editor 2+ years after its discontinuation, and why was it even discontinued in the first place?

The banner is not the same as the background. Banner images have been removed.

We don’t use episode backgrounds for anything yet, so trying to set one is currently won’t do anything.
