Since this is working in your environment, maybe we can figure out what’s different.
And yes, the only common thread is VOBSUB or PGS subtitles. Tested with MPEG2VIDEO and H.264 codecs, 480i, 480p and 1080p resolutions.
For the debug, these are the videos I tested and the rough start and stop times.
