Photos library timeline not grouping by date

When displaying the Photos library timeline and using various versions of the app (web, Fire TV, or Android app), all display a single photo by date even when there are multiple photos for the same date.

Example
• Photo 1 - March 16, 2022
• Photo 2 - March 16, 2022
• Photo 3 - March 16, 2022

As all 3 photos are the same date, they should all be grouped under a single header as March 16, 2022. Instead, each one contains a date header and then a single photo. It’s as if they are being grouped by timestamp (date + time).

Yay! Someone else to join the rest of us waiting on Plex to act on making the photo’s feature in Plex much more comprehensive and flexible to fill the gap that will be left by Google in a few years.

To your point, I am part way through my plan to get off of Google Photos and use Plex and Synology to do that.

Sadly the photo timeline feature is just broken and I haven’t seen any statement from Plex yet about plans to fix it. Here is a previous discussion about this: Photo Timeline Out of Order and Photos in Wrong Date

Not only that. The dates in the timeline are sometimes also wrong.

The photo library clearly needs some developer time. Plex, please?
