Same issue as others have reported for Live TV when going to PiP, just get a small grey screen with the spinning wheel.
There are multiple thread on the forum talking about how bad this “upgrade” of the app is and from my experience so far can agree that this app is now BROKEN many things not working or incredibly slow, home screen is a mess, no “what’s on now” for local DVR channels and difficult to view libraries and the list goes on.
For me it is unusable in this current state.

2025.14 had the grey box with spinning wheel for LiveTV.
2025.25 the PIP button is there and does nothing when tapped in portrait or landscape.

I am seriously considering setting up Channels till Plex sorts out all these issues, I have just found a network issue , when moving from 5G to WIFi stream drops out and have to quit the app to reconnect,
also an audio issue, when bluetooth speaker or headphones or air pods turned off or removed, audio doesnt emit from phone speaker,
there seems to be nowhere to raise these issues, not does anyone from plex chime in to answer

Yes, I found exactly the same, updated from 2025.14 to 2025.15 tonight and found PiP button now does nothing.
Have given up on the app and now use the web interface, PiP works from there, better Home Screen and everything works no lag or freezing.

now I have no sound at all from Plex Live TV ( sound is ok on web browser)

I’ve moved back to Channels, Plex have totally screwed this up and by lack of engagement and action, it is apparent they don’t really care about this Plex Pass feature at all.

Yes it is, and that is what I’m finding most problematic with the lack of focus or respect for those who are paying!

Total lack of respect for anyone who’s already paid for the product. They know we already paid and they don’t care about destroying the product after we have paid them for it. From the discussions I am seeing, people are starting to realize the Plex team is tearing everything down into a dumby app with like 3 or 4 features so they don’t have to do any work moving forward.

there were a heap of bug fixes in the latest, hopefully that means they are so busy fixing that they don’t have time to reply in the forums,
now if they can fix the remaining issues with PIP, sound and other with LIVE TV that would be great.

I think it is very rare for developers to admin defeat and rollback to a previous version. the only realistic hope is that the eventually iron out all the bugs and don’t keep introducing too many new ones.

This update only appeared in Australia a few days ago but I can see by the age of some of the comments on the multiple threads in the forum that this update must have been released elsewhere up to a month ago so a fix for this app is certainly taking time.

Will give this a try but as an all iOS user I will have to dig an old windows box out of storage first, no biggie but a pain in the proverbial just to overcome a complete stuff up for something I have paid good money for that was working perfectly.

Very true. We would all be better off if the engineering managers and leaders would just be paid to do nothing at all. Then at least the product would stop decaying into vaporware that nobody wants. Kleiner Perkins and Intercap would make more money on their investment too. Just pay these guys to walk their dogs and buy their $15 coffees and stop ruining the product.

Yes, me too but then I’ve really never had a problem in the past as all “upgrades were OK and stable when installed. This has been the most horrendous app upgrade I have ever come across with so many features missing or disabled and just doesn’t work that no user seems to have requested.
