Have given up on using the app, I use Plex only at home so I now log into my NAS and use the web interface and it is pretty much like the old app.
I will try and downgrade the app per the procedure others have posted but I need to dig a windows machine out of storage first IF a fix from Plex doesn’t come soon.

Yes, there is something screwy with transcoding the audio from live tv to opus. If you’re local, having it direct play should give you sound.

2025.16.0 says “Live TV playback was not fullscreen.”
No idea what that means because I could always activate full screen with Live TV.
The previous problems are the same, PIP button does nothing. It’s there for decoration. Still can’t get Live TV into PIP with swiping up.

2025.16 has made livery even worse, so wouldn’t recommend the beta if this is a feature you need.

If I choose a future day and go back to today, I’m locked in a few that is two hours ahead and can’t see any currently playing content.
But don’t worry, Plex don’t have any responses or comments in any of the Live TV threads, so must not be an issue worthy of any communication.

Still broken… they say the lost will automatically close after no replies for awhile so here I am posting a reply.

2025.18.0 PIP in LiveTV is still completely unresponsive.
If you move away the app while LiveTV is playing it stops instead of moving to PIP and you return to a completely frozen and unresponsive app.

Glad to see I’m not the only one having a problem. I keep hoping with each update there’s a fix and disappointed each time.

has anyone been brave enough to try the latest app version on IOS 2025.18.0 ? if so is it any good? if so is it any good? PIP in particular with Live TV
2025.19.0 and still no LiveTV PIP. Buttons still don’t work.
There is also still no audio with LiveTV (HDHomeRun).
@chrisc, @OttoKerner, or @Craig_Holliday, please have a look at these things? Many of us would really appreciate a fix.

2025.20.0 now the PIP button is completely gone. This video should be supported for PIP like it always has been before the new experience.
(There is still no audio in HDHomerun liveTV.)
2025.21.0 no changes to either issue above.

2025.22.0 the audio is back. But PIP is still not working.
@ChuckPa it would be amazing if you could turn PIP for LiveTV back on. 
I don’t have any input in what the developers are doing right now.
I am using 2025.23 (testflight).

Current live build button still without function. PIP is not some random thing it is a core feature.
