I have tried to find a solution for this but all of them did not resolve my issue.
I’ve been using plex for years and never had any problems like this. It started yesterday. All of the new TV shows and movies that were added wont’ play and give me this error.
However, everything else that was there prior to yesterday are all working fine!
Short of trying to fix a possible corrupted DB (which i have no idea how to do!) i have tried pretty much all that i have been able to find (removing PRE-roll video -wasnt there to start with, removing the file scanning and then adding the file again - yes i did the dance!)
I even updated the server to the newest version even if i was already at the latest version required.
I dont want to uninstall Plex and reinstall again unless i am 100% sure that this would fix it, but i doubt it, why would it only be the new files added that i can not play!
Hi Tiebierius, I’m afraid I’m a little challenged at this stuff as well and have been receiving the same s1001 network error (not sure if it’s the same issue causing it). I’ve also tried a number of things including the FAQ 17 suggestion (removed pre-roll, tried removing and re-installing from Synology NAS). What’s even more frustrating is that I appear to receive the error for some files and not others. Any assistance you could provide would be greatly appreciated as I’m afraid I’m at my wits end. I’m running version 1.18.9.2578. It t doesn’t seem to matter what client I’m using. I get the same error through the web interface as well as my NVidia Shield.It gives my an ‘unavailable message’ using the iphone app.
