Setup my Plex server on Synology NAS. Using for Music only. I powered down NAS when I went on vacation and now nothing will play. I’ve verified the path to the music is correct and I can play the music directly from Synology Disk Station. I’ve also stopped and restarted the plex package on Synology with no change in behavior. This is happening to every song I try.Plex Media Server Logs_2018-09-24_15-44-58.zip (5.7 MB)
Thanks for providing the logs with your OP.
I am seeing “Permission Denied” errors in your logs.
Synology has the history of losing permissions to your media.
Please check Control Panel - Shared Folders - Edit - Permissions
for each of your shares.
As example, one I found is:
Sep 24, 2018 15:32:08.567 [0x73123400] ERROR - Couldn't check for the existence of file "/volume1/photo/Lumix/2007/.grab": boost::filesystem::status: Permission denied: "/volume1/photo/Lumix/2007/.grab"
Sep 24, 2018 15:32:08.569 [0x73123400] ERROR - Couldn't check for the existence of file "/volume1/XmasMusic/.grab": boost::filesystem::status: Permission denied: "/volume1/XmasMusic/.grab"

@ChuckPa thanks! That was indeed it. I granted the Plex built in user read/write permissions to that share and my music can be played again. Do you happen to know what the default share permissions are supposed to be? Does the Plex server grant those permissions when a shared folder is added to the Plex server?
Thanks again!
