Since the last update all Plex client get the “not enough bandwidth” error or the not enough CPU. “Something went wrong playing your media. Please try again. Could not direct play because: Not enough bandwidth for direct play this item. Etc…”
There is no point trying to tweak the server, this is a BUG ! Previous version was fine.
The Plex clients are configured (Setting/Quality/Remote Streaming) with a certain value Ex 2Mbps 720p. You will get the error trying to play any media that have a higher “resolution”.
Setting this parameter to a higher value soled the issue but I would be very glad if this was fixed as not to become a Plex tech hotline for all the connected users …
The problem is that now, the server reads this parameter as a limitation of the reader if value is lower.
A rollback to the previous server version would be most welcome too.
Note that you may have to also change the “Limit Cellular Data” as well.
Some content are now unplayable on Apple TV especially if subtitles are enabled.
