Ever since the recent update I have had trouble playing some of my video files on the Xbox One. I tried playing the video via Plex on my laptop and it works perfectly but I get a playback error when I try to play it through the Xbox One.
Try changing quality settings, and/or disabling Direct Play option.

Noticed this too, probably in some malformed Avi or mkv files.
Known issue? If so, I’m guessing it’ll be addressed in the next update ?
I have same issue too, have to enable/disable direct play for some things and change again for others… annoying
Please post details of the media you’re trying to play, or even better, a sample that shows the problem. We’ll look into it.

I see the same issue xbox one app gives playback error on everything. I access the same files from multiple computers and phones works fine. I am having this issue regardless of file format .mp4 or .mkv
