I have the latest Roku Ultra, running I would assume is the lastest version of the Plex application. When starting to watch live TV (sometimes it’s being recorded and I select to start at the beginning), a few minutes after playback starts, it will skip back a minute or so in the video, then skip forwards to where is should be. Most of the time playback is okay from there, but on occasion it will get the spinning icon at 33% and then eventually get a playback error. I’ll figure out how to attach two log files that I dumped shortly after this happened, so look at the ends of the logs.
That’s super odd so maybe grabbing the Roku Logs might help. I have no idea what could be causing the issue you’re describing but the roku device logs provide additional client side information that might help a plex rep address this issue. https://support.plex.tv/articles/201377603-roku-logs/
There was a recent Roku OS update to 14.1 you might check to see if that helps at all if you haven’t gotten it already (my devices only got it last night).
Do you have a mobile device or computer to try playback on as well just to verify if it’s Roku device specific? That’ll help narrow it down maybe.
I also had the Plex server console window open with just errors enabled and the last entry was this:
Time
LevelError
Thread
MessageCaught exception trying to stream file: C:\Users\Mike\AppData\Local\Plex Media Server\Cache\Transcode\Sessions\plex-transcode-de94f038-344f-4ab1-8b17-7fa0a6c52acf\media-00583.ts: write: A request to send or receive data was disallowed because the socket had already been shut down in that direction with a previous shutdown call [system:10058]
I will also try the web version and the plex app on my ipad - stay tuned.
