So i’ve been having this problem since I built this new server running on ubuntu. I’ll be watching a video, either direct-play on my local network, or remotely with transcoding and it’ll play fine until an arbitrary point and it will suddenly stop. Nothing will be buffered in and for all intents and purposes the video has been frozen. If i close the stream and re-open it it works fine again for about 20-ish minutes then the same problem. My mum’s been experiencing the same issue on her iPad. From some research, i’ve seen people say that rollbacks to a previous version fixed it or setting “Terminate Sessions Paused for Longer Than” to 0 fixed it, or even disabling “Play smaller videos at original quality” but none of these things have solved my problem. I’ve looked at logs and the only remote error that I can see is :
ERROR - Unable to find client profile for device; platform=windows, platformVersion=10.0.18362, device=, model=standalone
But that’s throughout the log going back to when the playback was working fine so I hardly think this is the issue. Honestly, i’m at a lost and it’s really frustrating because this is carrying out to my users and I don’t know how to fix it, it’s especially annoying when trying to watch a movie. Would really appreciate any help or assistance, or guidance as to how I could better troubleshoot this particular issue.
