I have no problem locating the file, but playing it won’t work. It works on my laptop, but not my desktop.
Same issue all the time. It will say “Loading at this time: 0” then it will take a few minutes and it will say “Stopped at this time: 0”. The ATV will say “An error occurred loading this content”.
It’s weird, because my laptop and desktop has identical files. RAR the files, check with MD5 and the values are both the same.
You need to read the sticky on how to report a problem, the info above does not really help narrow down the problem at all.
… Aight.
ATV3 @ 5.2.1
DNS is set correctly to 192.168.1.13
Installed on Windows 8
ATV IP is 192.168.1.9
IP on my desktop is 192.168.1.13
Media is stored on my C drive, but I’ve tried with an external drive and another intern drive
Tried different file types. AVI, MKV, MP4 and different sizes
I still do not understand what the issue is, especially as you have skipped most of what was requested in the sticky.
You speak about laptop and desktop but it is not clear what you mean.
The file types you refer to are containers, you need to provide info about the media as in the sticky.
Please try and describe the problem in detail, you may have it pictured clearly in your head but i do not understand what you are actually seeing or what your setup actually is.
When I am on my desktop, it doesn’t work. As described in OP.
If I try on my laptop, it works just fine.
