I have installed Plex on WD NAS PR4100. Installed and configured HDHomerun Extend tunersI have the latest greatest versions of everything . However, I am unable to playback the same program that is being recorded. It seems that it can only be played back after the complete recording is complete. Please help ASAP. The HDHomerun tuner apps works without a glitch, it is able to record and playback while recording is in progress. The issue seems to be with the Plex TV DVR only. I searched online and found that several people are reporting this issue. I tried Apple TV as well as Amazon Fire TV - both behave the same.
What happens when you try to start playback of recording in progress?
The playback button does not appear at all. All I see is “Modify recording”
Try finding the program or channel in the guide and playing from there. You should be presented with an option to watch from the beginning or live.
Tried it - it just plays in real time - does not go back to the start of the program
Not sure which version of PMS you’re running, but the latest Plex Pass release has supposedly made this feature more reliable.
If you’re not running that, I would give it a try and see if it helps at all.
I just updated to 1.19.1.2589 on the WD NAS and am trying it again.
It appears that now the delete option has been removed from Apple TV’s Plex app. I am able to delete shows from Fire TV. Strange!
Should still be there – press and hold the select button on an episode and the option to delete will show up.
Delete option appears on Fire Tv but still not on Apple TV. There is a huge A/V lip sync issue on Fire TV.
