Player launches but fails to display interface

Server running on a home theatre PC cable connected to other desktops and Apple TV boxes around the house. The device concerned is an Apple Mac Mini running the most up to date version of High Sierra. Yesterday, the Plex Player was working fine. This morning, the Plex Player will open and run, but it provides no user interface. All I can see is the Mac desktop. The Plex bar appears when I hover over it, but if the preferences menu is selected, nothing happens. All players on my other devices (IOS devices, Windows PCs, Apple TV Apps) are all working as they should.

Multiple reboots, deleting the player app and re-installing etc all result in the same issue on the Mac Mini.

Help diagnosing this issue would be very appreciated.
