Playing downloaded content with the old player on ios

Hi, I have a problem playing content I downloaded in the Plex application on ios/iPadOS if the “old player” option is on.
Is there a way to solve this?
And I need the old player because of the subtitles I use - Hebrew doesn’t work properly without the old player.
I would appreciate your help, I have a day before my flight and I would be happy if I could solve this in time.

Any chance you could elaborate further on “problem playing content”, what actually happens?

Not sure this is going to help, what download settings are you using for Settings / Downloads / Download Format?

You might like to choose Maximise Compatibility to see if this resolves your issue?
