Hello, I installed the apk to my galaxy s7, and I am not seeing the plex option in android auto. Additionally in the android auto app, I don’t see it listed in android auto “apps”. Am I missing something?
Thanks,
Cheww

It worked for me this morning on my LG V30 via 2017 Ford Fusion, really excited by it! I would recommend that you build playlists to use with it though. You can browse, but not while driving…
I have playlist already, i just didn’t see it in the car nor the standalone app
I updated it via google play store and as of 2 hours ago I was able to see the standalone app inside Android Auto. For verification, my version is 6.6.0.2384
My version is the same but I don’t see it in there

On my s7edge
Version I have
you see the headphone icon? When you press it once, it’ll bring you to the google music page, just like your screenshot is showing. Then, if you press it again, it’ll show you all your AA compatible music apps
It’s still not showing up.
I was able to resolve this but do not understand why it was not working. I downloaded the correct apk initially from plex, and it didn’t work with android auto, I finally got an update in the play store to update plex and installed now it works in android auto. Is there something different in the version listed in new releases vs. what was just put on google play for my Verizon Samsung Galaxy S7 edge? I look forward to your response, and thank you to everyone that tried to help.
Which file did you download? Maybe you got the wrong one for your phone?
While the connection with the Android auto app seems to work on my Nexus 5, I get an error when I try to open my playlist with 250 entries. Recently added/played can be opened and played without issues. Any thoughts?
It works for me, but craps the bed when i tell it to load artists
I downloaded the 64 file for the phone.

Why not just use the Google Play Store?
It was not up on the play store yet.
Are you sure you got the right version? You said you were able to update from the store. The store has the same version number so it would not have been possible to update to the store version without uninstalling the app first.
I do, the store did not have the correct version number earlier in the day.

Same here. Is there a problem with large libraries perhaps?

I’m referring to this statement you made. Since the store version is the same as the APK, the store would not have given you the option to update. If you got that option, you had to have been running an older version of the app. Is it possible when you went to sideload the app, it failed, so you only thought you were running the new version?
I guess it doesn’t matter now that you have the correct version running.
