Player Version#:Amazon FireTV Cube
I recently got interested in getting some cartoons for the grand kids. Found some cartoon content and established a new library under the movies category.
I can see the new library on the PLEX server with the browser window and select and play content with that interface.
The new library does not show up in the Fire Cube client for some reason.
Any hints on what I might be doing wrong??
If others have suggestions regarding organizing cartoons content I would appreciate any help you choose to provide.
Sometimes new libraries are not automatically showing in your main navigation. If it’s showing up under More you can access it from there (or click on ⋮ > Pin to add it to the main navigation).
If the library is not showing up at all you can try signing out from the Plex client on your FireTV Cube, maybe even restart the app – and then sign-in again. Sometimes the app can get stuck with some cached information (however that shouldn’t happen too frequently).
PS: you might want to upgrade your Plex Media Server… that version is almost 1.5 years old
The advice was good. For those who are interested the easiest way to refresh the Fire Cube is to power down and up – simple plug to pull,. That did the trick – cartoons are now available.
