I can confirm that this fix has also worked for me. I can now play synced music files with no issue.
I’m now having a issue with getting playlists to sync properly, but that’s an issue for another thread.
Edit: The fix only worked briefly, then the entire app broke. I had to re-install the app and can no longer get Sync to work at all.
This appears to have started occurring again - Tablet Samsung S7+ and Phone Samsung S20+.
Error appears to be the same as before and following the delete sync, remove from authorised devices, remove content, uninstall and restart process, no changes.
Thanks. I’ll have to try out plexamp. I came over to plex for music because of the same google → youtube change. I’ve used Plex for years for movies and tv at home, but now that I add music into the mix and find out that sync doesn’t work I’m pretty mad.

I haven’t yet tried to unauthorize and resync, but I still get that “unable to play” popup multiple times.
Come on… can’t be that hard, I’m about to try jellyfin or emby…
