Plex App on Android Not Showing Video Thumbnails in Mixed Albums

There has been a reoccurring bug since after 9.20.1 before the revamped android UI was released where mixed albums that have both videos and photo albums/pictures will not show thumbnails for the videos. As per my thread on how to have 2 concurrent Plex apps installed on android here:

which I used to diagnose a now fixed issue, I can see that the behavior was working fine (video thumbnails showed in mixed albums) in 9.20.1. This happens on both my Samsung Galaxy S20+ and my Galaxy Tab S7+, so I’m assuming this is an issue for all android devices. 9.20.1 is working correctly on both phone and tablet, so I can say that it is not an issue with the devices or the media server as the old app works correctly. Please fix this as soon as possible! Thank you.
