I bought a DS218play and was all happy untill I realised that Plex Media Server was not supported on this device.
But for some strange unexplained reason Plex on my LG played movies from my DS218play witout Plex Media Server installed.
The only thing I installed on my DS218play was Media Server and Video Station. I started to use my iOS app insted but one day I accedently started the Plex app on my LG and hold en behold, all my movies in Video Station was loaded into Plex. For about 2 weeks it worked but one day when I started Plex my movies didn’t load because it could not find a media server. And I couldn’t connect again.
How was this possible? Every post I have read says that Plex Mrdia Server is not supported on DS218play but for som reason the Plex client on LG loded the movies from Video Station. Was this a complete fluke or what?
I haven’t since been able to get Plex working again. I have even tried to reset my DS218play and my LG OLED TV. But I can’t get it to work again.
Any thoughts on this?
