I found this doing some searching?

that is 100% correct and as expected.
I do see you have both adapters connected to the same subnet.
Thatâs not standard.
If youâre going to have both on the same subnet, the best practice and most stable configuration is bonded.
For now, and while figuring out the issue here, Iâd like you to unplug Adapter 2 (192.168.0.47).
Next, restart Plex and then reconnect to the QNAP at 192.168.0.46 and observe its behavior.
Ok disconnected ip.47 and restarted PLEX and waited 60 seconds and then tried to open files still same error. So did a complete reboot with ip.46 only connected and ran PLEX 60 seconds and attempted recheck file and still same error. Again thanks for your patience. To be honest I am 67 and I am pretty good with computers and technology but this certainly has me stumpedâŠ
You are only 5 years my senior and this has me stumped too.
I think itâs time to give QNAP tech support a call. Let them come in with TeamViewer and work with you .
This is NOT the norm but does squarely seem to be in the QTS 5 ballpark.
Only 6 years your senior, lol you old fart, can you me a few questions to ask QNAP, they are pretty helpful, if I know the question to ask.
Oops 5 years lol
Dd you look at the File Station error message string. Which is exactly the errors I am getting when trying to open the file
When the Plex server is stopped, you should not have ANY errors opening it in the Text Editor app.
You are signed in as âadminâ , right?
I just got off the phone with QNAP and their response is the file is not accessible because software may be using it. Because I canât download it either but can down load other media files?
FWIW I just created a small text file and saved it on my desktop and the upload the file to a folder on my Nas and was able to open it with the editor app I have using. Then I tried again to upload the same file to the Plex folder I crated yesterday and I could not upload to it. So I tried to copy the already upload file from the NAS to Plex folder and no luck. SO! The folder seems to be the issue not the file. I will delete that folder and start over again . Please advise again any special properties need with this PlexData folder? THanks!!!
Whenâs the last time you restarted it with Plex in the stopped state ?
- Stop Plex
- Restart QTS
- Edit file
I stop PLEX earlier this morning while we were testing other ideas. I stopped PLEX, restarted QNAP sever. Then started PLEX for 60 seconds and then shut it down and attempted to access file with no luck. So I am thinking the subdirectory PlexData is the problem? It seems to be locked? ButI have notice. The file time stamp does change on the Preferences.xml file. when I start and stop PLEX
So I was thinking of deleting the PlexData folder and starting over? That folder seems to be the issue?
When we chat and, if youâd like, I will teamviewer to you so I can beat it into submission.
I am the package developer
Thanks I already have teamviewer installed. What time of day is best for you. I donât want to
Overdo my welcome. Whatever works best for you is ok
Hey Don, same issue that you have, I am experiencing. The only way to fix it was to disable secure connection on the server. That will force the Tivo Plex app to default to insecure. Then I am able to play videos. You know it will work when the green lock disappears from the server name in the Tivo plex app.
This appears to be a bug in Tivos client app - whoever wrote it. The âdefault to insecure connectionâ setting is not working.
I want to buy a mew Tivo but wont for this reason - all my media is on Plex.
Lets hit up Tivo and find out if they will fix the bugs if they wonât update the expired cert.
Let me know if this is the experience you have and work together to get it resolved!

Matt , thanks for feedback, Interesting. after a lot of efforts is strangely resolved itself. Chuck do you have any additional thoughts Mattâs thoughts on this issue. Thanks
Don
There was an issue last night which was resolved.
Some systems were getting an invalid intermediate cert sent to them.
Wonder if this system is impacted. (restart would cure it now).
Also, the serverâs cert is Oct 2nd. I can reset that too if desired. (Sept 30 was the milestone)
