Plex app remote on iPhone problems

Hi guys, 

 

I'm trying to use the plex app on the iPhone to play content to my pi on rasplex. It works fine from my iPhone to iMac on Plex home theatre. I get the option when I'm running rasplex however the video never plays on the pi. Just stays at the menu. I click choose a player and I see my iMac and Rasplex but it just doesn't seem to work. 

 

I have airplay enabled in the rasplex settings. I've tried both over wireless and wired connection but neither works. 

 

Is there anything I'm missing. The final setup I'm looking for is rasplex in the bedroom and just use iPhone to navigate my content and then play it on rasplex using the iPhone.

I've just upgraded to 9.9.18 and this now works!

I was an android user and recently I purchased an iphone 7s . I am enjoying using this phone very much but the problem I am facing right now is that I am unable to install the plex app on it. I tried many times and also gone through so many forums from here. apart from that I also tried to contact Apple iPhone Support and asked about this issue. So is there any solution to fix this issue? Can anyone give me a proper guidelines to install this app on iphone 7s.
