Plex app slow to launch on UHD TV

Dear Plex users, for the past few months I have had issues with the launch times for my Plex system at my TV.

I am connected via ethernet from my TV to my plex server which in turn is connected via USB to a 10TB external hard drive of movies.

Although I have a fast 100mbs network the initial launch time of the PLEX app is frustratingly slow [15-20 secs] despite the TV being an ethernet connection. I am just wanting to understand whether there is anything I can do to fix or improve this issue. Is it possible to have PLEX loaded on my TV or computer rather than having the system looking for it over the internet or is there some other setting or trick or small hardware investment you can suggest I try??

Change your TV DNS to 1.1.1.1 or 8.8.8.8, that would mean setting up the TV network settings manually. Insure the TV settings are IPv6 being disabled.

It is also mindful to understand the TV Plex app is a Web app, so there will be a delay for Authorization.

You might wanna mention which brand of TV you are talking about.
