Plex app URL in DS220+ cannot connect to Plex after upgrade to DSM 7.2.2

I recently updated to DSM 7.2.2. and ever since then my server cannot connect from the Plex app in my NAS. When I click on the URL, it opens up a page that says “This page isn’t working”. My server is seen by the web version of plex but it states that it is not connected. I have tried to find my NAS’s IP address but it is set up in quickconnect so I cannot access said address. I watched a few videos going over all the permission settings but I have still not been able to connect. Has anyone had a similar experience and can you share any solutions? Much appreciated.

Make certain Synology Quick Connect is turned off after the upgrade so you can get things running again.

You need to connect to it by its IP (not Synology FQDN remote name) that first time

Thank you for your response. Unfortunately, I do not know how to bypass Quickconnect because it is greyed out and I get this prompt:
Cannot modify the settings when connecting dsm via quickconnect relay service. To modify settings, use another connection method.
Would you be able to guide me? Thanks again.

Instead of QuickConnect, point a browser window at the IP address of the NAS.

For example, if the IP address is 10.1.2.3, use http://10.1.2.3:32400/web (or https if needed).

You should then be prompted to login to Plex. Then see if you can reach the Plex server settings.

You may see a “this is not hosted at Plex” message. That is OK. It just means you are accessing the server directly, not using app.plex.tv.

Is the PC you are using on the same network as the DS220+?

Can you login to DSM using http://10.0.0.7:5000 or https://10.0.0.7:5001 (which bypasses QuickConnect)?

Does Synology Package Center show that Plex Media Server is running? If not, start it and give it 2 - 3 minutes to fully start.

Try http://10.0.0.7:32400/identity. If Plex is running, you should see a page with one line of XML with claimed="0" or claimed="1".

@LUXGAP Did you install the plex package explicitly for DSM 7.2.2+ ? There were some changes required when DSM updated.
