Plex application error on Samsung TV

Hi all,

I am having problems to get the app running on my TV.
Access via browser works as expected. Furthermore I can access the “Plex Media Server” directly via the TV (I only see the Plex folders, I can navigate into the respective folder and play videos). Unfortunately its not possible using the Plex-App to make use of the Dashboard and all the filters. I get the following error message on the TV:

I would appreciate your help!

Server Version#: 3.77.4
Player Version#: Latest app for Samsung TV´s (9th, April 2019) → KS8090
→ Plex is installed on WD-MyCloud

To my own surprise, it works now. I didn’t change the configuration. Looks like the Samsung app has been fixed.

I am having similar issues on a KS7000, I have seen the same as above and It comes and goes. I have reinstalled the app twice which solves it for a couple of days usually. I also get the below sometimes.

Power cycle of the TV from the plug also seems to sort it, but it comes back.

Plex Server: Version 1.15.3.876

@trouty5005287861 I had the same problem on the weekend. It looks like the “save setting” function for the security certificate solves the problem.

Insofar I think that our problems are related to the certificate.

It’s not the certificate either. I had the problem again last evening.

Hi, I have experienced all of the above issues at one time or another. and they seem to be random or more likely I haven been able to work out what causes them yet.

I also get an issue where if I pause and rewind a show, the screensaver kicks in whilst the show is still playing in the background.

I have a Samsung Ue55ku6400,
Plex version Plex for Samsung 3.92.3
Tizen 2.4.0

In my opinion, all these problems started when the app was updated, it was solid as a rock previously.

@gbear_uk mine now seems OK and it seemed to stop when i left one of my friends servers which was no longer online.

May be a coincidence but thought i would mention it.

I also have the exacty (random) issue on 3.92.3 / tizen 2.4.0 – first tim in year. PMS 1.15.4.933 on a synology DS414.

Sometimes it works, sometimes restarting all relevant devices helps (but not causally I think).

No clue at the moment except to use the (yikes) Apple YV version. (OFF-TOPIC: anyone knows how to skip a title on there?)

Had the certificate issue as well, but that was after the issues started and has been fixed accordingly anyway

PS: factory setting and resetting the smart huib did not help. no issues on other platform (ios, macos)

The problem hasn’t occurred in two weeks. Apparently the app has been fixed.
