All of my players have in the incorrect language for menu dialogue. In particular Genre names are in a different language. The language on my server, windows and windows app is English (US).
When you check the respective items with non-English genre names… are those items set to use different language metadata?
If your library is configured to use the Plex Movie agent, you should see that when editing each movie in their respective Advanced tab if the Metadata language option is set to something different than your library default / or English (US).
This is not a client setting.

Thank you ! This is the answer, although I have no idea how it got changed. I recently restored my system from backup. But I did not make this change when I reinstalled.
