So here’s a rundown of issues I’ve discovered so far from poking around.
I don’t believe all the cores from the core manager work. I haven’t even found a working SNES core yet.
Nvidia Shield official controller doesn’t recognize any buttons for direction (D-Pad or stick). The action buttons and select/start do work.
There’s no option to remap buttons.
Games will often fail to load without any error message indicating the issue. This is especially noticeable on systems which don’t have the hardware requirements for Parsec (e.g. my main Plex server is an i5-3570S with no dedicated GPU. I can “run” stuff but just get a black screen. Apparently I need a 4th gen i5 or a dedicated GPU but that’s just a guess, there’s no actual error or way to troubleshoot to tell me what’s working or not working).
When it works it runs very well, at least locally (what lag is there is not really perceptible), but this launched way too hot, it seems.
This fixed the account error, thanks. Now I’m having other errors (black screen for all other games after closing one game), I’ll keep tinkering. Thanks!
I’ll be honest; I’d be willing to pay a one-time fee for effortless retro ‘emulators sorted for me behind the scenes, and leave me to sort the ROMs via add library’, but… apologies, I’m just not feeling this. Per above, feels it launched a lil bit too hot, and sub model kinda stings.
Sorry for the negativity above, but I was hoping for niggle-free working for a full launch with paid subs.
So far no luck on a new M1 powered Mac Mini server. People report that Parsec works fine on the new Apple silicon, so I’m hoping that isn’t it. Getting a lot of -8005 and -15000 errors whenever I try and run anything.
Yeah, I guess so. I got it working on my PC but every time I close a game, no others will open up again. I have to restart PMS every time I want to try a new game.
That was my only guess as to why it could not work. So my guess is there is an account issue of some kind. I have tried different browsers (chrome, safari, edge) and different OS’s (windows, mac, and iOS) so it seems that it is not browser based
