Plex Arcade

I am trying to add the plex arcade access to my account, but it just spins and says it is trying to check my account status. It never gets passed this and I have linked my accounts and what not. Any ideas on whats going on here?

I have also tried multiple browsers on 2 different machines that are on 2 different ISPs.

Sorry, this is a bug that popped up. Likely you already have a Plex Pass paid through PayPal. Update your billing information to a credit card and that issue will go away. Or wait a day or 2 for us to figure out what is causing the problem.

Thank you very much, I will update my payment method!

That worked, you are awsome!

Can you now tell me how to add an emulator other than Atari, or at least what is compatible?

I am trying to find application support but it doesnt seem to exist in appdata or program files…sorry the directions aren’t 100% clear to me.

Application support is not the name of a folder, its the folder where Plex Media Server is. In the case of Windows If you haven’t moved it on purpose, the default should be

C:\Users\NameOfUser\AppData\Local\Plex\Plex Media Server

This is what I have atm, is this not correct? It doesn’t seem to run the emulator.

Also, the Game Cores folder does NOT exist, this guide is a little misleading. There is a Games folder, but no Game Cores.

Did you install the included games? It would have also installed the core needed to play those.

No. The platform needs to match exactly to what is shown when you look at the game in Plex. These are standardized names, you can’t just what you want. For NES the correct name is “Nintendo Entertainment System”.

I did change it to that, I have been trying but it still just says the core isnt there…I will get back at it romorrow, thanks for the help.

Finally got the Plex arcade working. Haven’t tried Game boy games. And the Arcade roms that I have are meant for mame 2003 xtreme and the games are showing up bad. Any way atleast my NES, SNES and GENESIS games are working.

Hi! Could you possibly help a noob with connecting a genesis emulator and associated .bin ROMs? I’ve done what the FAQ has said, much like OP, but I’ve added the cores to the appropriate location (Game Cores folder). And I’ve updated the xml file with the name “SEGA Genesis” as the platform name.

And I’m on macOS

PMS will not see bin files. Try renaming the extension to md.
