Hoping someone can help but I’ve noticed recently that Plex is automatically refreshing metadata randomly without anything in settings have changed. This is annoying because I’ve set the metadata a certain way and don’t want an auto-refresh. In many instances its also incorrectly matching the movie title incorrectly.
Anyone else having this problem or know how to fix this? Is it a new server issue?
This was introduced with Plex Media Server 1.25.4.5426 on Jan 20 - (Library) Refresh movie metadata periodically during scheduled tasks (#13250)
It says movie metadata, but it actually affects TV shows as well. You can disable this in Scheduled Tasks by unchecking “Refresh library metadata periodically”.
Hi this must be a bug then because I’ve never had that option checked and looked now and it’s still unchecked. Any other ideas?
Did you perhaps switch/upgrade agents recently? How often does this “auto-refresh” happen? The feature I was talking about only refreshes metadata, but does not change the name or anything else.
sorry for the late reply. No i havent changed anything in the server settings for a long time. And i can’t tell it seems to be doing it on its own. I would guess during the normal maintenance hours
