I’m not sure what has changed but i’m getting significant streaming issues, even when direct play or transcoding. The machine is running windows server 2012, dual xeon e5-2680 cpus, with 32gb of ram. Nothing else is using the network. I’ve got 100mbps upload, and 100 down (fiber); and yet plex seems to only use 10mbps.
I can upload to other locations like google at over 100mbps, speedtest, etc all look good.
At first I thought it was that some of these newer videos are higher quality, or 4k etc, but it is doing it on just about everything regardless of direct play or transcoding. (which it is powerful enough to handle multiple 1080p streams anyway).
The remote location is on the same provider, a few miles away with fiber 150 up and down… this never used to be an issue either. I’ve tried with apple tv 4, browsers, lg tv, opht, plex media player…
Remote access is good, no upload speed set… anyone have an idea on what is going on?
