Why can't my hauppauge WINTV-HVR-2255 find any channels

The card is working fine - the Hauppage software can find channels, but the Plex doesn’t find any.

From the Supported DVR Tuners & Antennas Page:

Windows: “WinTV 8” (for WinTV tuners) or “AVerMedia TVBox” (for AVerMedia tuners) software might conflict with Plex Media Server’s use of the tuner. If you have issues tuning channels, please remove this software, install only the driver for your tuner, then attempt to scan channels again.

I don’t have a Hauppage tuner myself but recall other forum threads where once the software that comes with the tuner was completely removed/uninstalled and only the driver installed Plex was able to be setup.

I saw some posts that said that to, but at first it didn’t work for me. I just removed the device in device manager - searched for devices so it would re-install - and now it works.
