Plex cannot start due to an error

Server Version#: 3.95.2
Player Version#: 2.1.0
Anyone else experiencing an issue with Plex for LG TV. Won’t load up, keeps coming up with:
“Plex cannot start due to an error, try resetting.
Error: Nothing has been registered to this device”

Hit reset then back to the same error over and over. Tried uninstalling and reinstalling, deauthorised the device in the server and still no joy.

I have the same problem. On my LG with webOS 1.4.0, Plex Player version 2.1.0 and plex server version 3.95.2. For a few weeks with an old plex server version everything was ok.

Exact same problem here was watching plex fine this afternoon then came to use it about 1 hour later and i get the the same error as you Plex for LG TV. Tried everything same as you even factory reset my tv and re downloaded still same its obviously a problem at there side and with just WebOS app. Works fine on raspberry pie one rasplex and my phones/ipads etc the problem is with LG smart tv

Ok update on this. I carried out the following and it appears to have worked.

  1. Remove the device listed in your authorised devices on the Plex Server.
  2. Uninstall the Plex app from the LG TV and power off the TV.
  3. Leave it overnight (I went to bed at this point so it may work sooner).
  4. Reinstall the following day and you will be prompted to link the device.

Again this may be a fluke or summit but hope this works or helps others.

but before i complectley reset tv to default… this is why it will take a couple of hours to get back all configurations :@
