Unable to load Plex on LG TV

I keep getting a message on my Plex app that says ‘Plex is unable to start due to an error.’ When I try to reset, I keep getting the error message. Help!

A few things you can try.

a) Restart TV from power source

b) uninstall from LG, remove device from Servers Authorised devices. Plus a), re install app and link your Tv to your account.

Then it would be best to update your Plex TV app settings.

  1. Manual server settings, Server LAN IP and Port 32400
  2. Auto Login if required
  3. Enable audio codec required
  4. Advanced / Allow fallback to insecure connections- on local network. Prefer secure connections on local network

Server settings /Network

  1. IPv6 not enabled
  2. Secure connections - Preferred
  3. Example: Server LAN IP/24

LG TV Settings/ Network.

  1. Disable IPv6
  2. Instead of using auto network config/ Manually
    Use a popular public DNS like 1.1.1.1 or 8.8.8.8

I had the same issue yesterday. My issue was that the webOS version on the TV was too old.
However, pressing the “search for firmware update” button of the TV settings in “settings -> general -> about this tv” said I was up to date. When I updated the firmware manually with a USB, it worked afterwards.
I went from webOS 03.20.xx to 05.50.95.

You could try updating the firmware.
