Plex won't start on WebOS 1.4 - reset Plex creates endless loop

Server Version#: 1.15.6.1079
Player Version#: 2.10

I have an older LG TV still running WebOS 1.4 (the promised 2.0 update never came) which until Sunday worked perfectly.

Today I noticed that Plex was taking forever to start and then gave me the message: “Plex is unable to start due to an error”

It then asks me to reset Plex which should take me back to the log-in details.

Unfortunately, resetting Plex causes the same error page to reappear after a delay.

Turning off the TV and restarting also makes no difference.

Does anyone have an idea why this suddenly happened and how to get Plex working again?

I’m experiencing the same problem with my LG TV. It was working fine last week and now it’s on that same “Plex is unable to start due to an error” screen/reset loop!

Same Issue here started this afternoon, Tried removing the app, re adding it, etc. I can see the auth being approved on my local server, but the app it’s self just loops. :frowning:

Same here. I have a 5 years old LG TV (42LB650V-ZN) with webOS 1.4.0-2529 (afro-ashley) version. TV is connected to the network by WiFi.
Issue started today and nothing was changed in the Wifi/TV configuration, there were no updates on TV as well.
Plex Media Server version: 1.15.3.876-ad6e39743
Pley version on TV: 2.1.0

first I thought the kid was scaring the TV
After complectley reset tv to default same resolution…

This issue was related to some hosting changes we were making for the TV apps. We’ve reverted the change while we work on resolving the underlying issue. Caching may prevent the fix from applying immediately, if you still see this issue frequently please let us know.

On logging in this morning, I was immediately taken to the Link page which worked.
