Plex Charging Again?

So I’m asking for my friend, I have the Plex Pass so I’ve never paid for the app itself. But my friend says he’s being charged for the app again. He hasn’t changed phones or anything. Literally just started limiting him to 1 minute playbacks and says he needs to pay. Can anyone explain what is happening? Thanks.

You haven’t said what phone/OS your friend is using, but the best thing they can do is contact the support for their OS’ app store. Whether that be Windows, Android, or iOS. The licensing is done by these companies and Plex doesn’t have the ability to see why the license is not working from a particular App Store.

It was iOS but I’ll let him know. I just wondered if this was a recurring thing or is it a one buy and you’re done type thing?

Depends on what he bought. Did they purchase the app activation? Or did they purchase the monthly Plex Pass? I don’t have an iPhone, but I believe you have the option to do either of those. If you purchase the app through the in app activation it’s a one time charge.
