Plex client on Shield stopping NAS Plex Server

I am running my Plex Media Server on a Synology NAS 418+. It’s run flawlessly for over a year. I have Plex clients on 3 Nvidia Shields, 3 Firestick 4ks, and 1 Sony Android TV.

There was a client update on the Nvidia Shield client app on December 5th. Since then whenever I start Plex on one of my Shields (2019 Shield TV Pro) it stops the Plex Media Server on the Synology NAS. If I open the installed apps and restart the PMS runs until I try once again to open Plex on the Plex client of the same Shield.

The other two Shields, the 3 Firesticks, and the Sony Android TV clients all work fine and do not create this problem. I’ve uninstalled and reinstalled the client app on the problem Shield and it still stops the server.

Anyone having a similar problem or suggested solution to this issue?

Are you running PMS 1.18.3.2111 ?

If so, or anything 1.18.3, upgrade to .2129. (Plex Pass beta)

We found and corrected a problem which was fixed and now in the beta as a hot fix.

Thanks. I have updated the NAS PMS to version -1.18.3.2129-41af4e729-x86_64.spk. and that appears to have resolved the problem Thank you so much. If it starts again I will let you know. But for now it appears fixed.

Once I pulled open the dmp file (submitted by someone with the problem), it was easy to see where it died. I gave that to Engineering and it was fixed almost immediately.
