Plex Combining separate TV series

Newest versions of server and player as of this posting.

So I am using the new stand alone WEBTOOLS and I have been exporting my lists in my library. I came across something interesting that I had not noticed until seeing it printed out.

I have 2 versions of Kitchen Nightmares. One series is called ‘Kitchen Nightmares (US)’ and the other is ‘Ramsay’s Kitchen Nightmares’.

RKN seasons are 2004-2007 for 4 seasons.
KNUS seasons are 2007-2010 but in 2 seasons. That is correct for how they did the show.

Anyway, they are in separate folders. Kitchen Nightmares (US) is one folder and Ramsay’s Kitchen Nightmares is another folder. However, inside of PLEX, they are being combined into one big series. All the episodes from season 1 of both series are showing up in just the one season 1 folder.

I never noticed this before and this is the only show that it is happening with. Is there a way to tell the PLEX server these are NOT the same show? I mean, different titles, different folders, yet, it puts them as one.

I have not done the PLEX dance yet but if that is the answer I will give it a shot.

Thanks,

Greg

Include the separate ID numbers from TheTVDB or TMDB into the folder names.

(Works only with the new “Plex TV Series” agent)

If you to to the show is there a split apart option?

I should just put you on speed dial Otto! LOL Once again nailed it. I have read much of the “manual” and while I have read a TON on the naming conventions, that was one I totally missed. Fixed it instantly!

Thanks as always!
