Plex Companion (controlling desktop player through phone) doesn't work for Tidal

Hello

I’m trying to control a windows desktop app from my android phone, in order to play music from Tidal.

When doing it via Plexamp, I get error messages like “Could not switch to player”. If I do manage to switch to the player (by switching to local content and then back to Tidal) it just doesn’t play, with no error messages.

When doing it via the Plex android app, at some point I managed to get an error message saying it’s not supported.

So, the first question is, is this functionality indeed not supported? Or can I get it to work, somehow?
If not supported, is it in the pipeline?

Given that Tidal’s app itelf also doesn’t support this (controlling the desktop player through the app) it’d be a nice selling point for Plex to offer this.
