Hi, I have two movies from the same year with very similar Name. PLEX stacks them as one media item. In fact these are two different movies, and even the Metadata database (imdb) recognizes both. As they are stacked together, I cannot reassign only one of them.
Any idea?
Regards, Stefan.

Can you share the names of the movies, and what the file names you’re using for them are? Also, you can split the movies apart by hovering over their combined poster, clicking the ellipsis in the bottom-right corner, and selecting “Split Apart.”
Thanks a lot - “Split Apart” was the solution!
There are two movies based on Jane Austens “Emma”, both released in 2016. One with Gwyneth Paltrow, one with Kate Beckinsdale. Although the file names were different
- Emma (2016)
- Jane Austens Emma (2016)
they were stacked together.
But again, “Splitting” did the Job and I was able to assign each file to ist proper Metadata!
Good deal, glad it worked.
Isn’t that a movie from 1996?
Just in case you want to fix the file names to avoid future collisions (e.g. in case you need to rebuild your library for some reason).
Edit: I just noticed both of your movies are actually 1996 movies – aren’t they?
You are right, these are the two. And sorry for mixing up the years in my post.
