This may be something that I am personally missing, if so can someone point me in the right direction.
I am suggestion that when you match a movie that it automaticaly changes the “Title” and sort “Title” to the correct name. I hate see thing _ in the title. But I feel like i am having to spend way to much time managing the content by changing the poster and the title just to get it sorted correctly in plex. Please make this part of the match process to get the poster and titles automatically updated.
Plex is already doing that – if you let it.
Unfortunately, it does prefer embedded metadata by default. It appears your files have ugly titles embedded in their ‘Title’ tags.
Go to
- Settings - Server - Agents - Shows - TheTVDB
In there, grab the line ‘Local Media Assets’ with your mouse and drag it downwards, so it ends up being at the bottom of the stack of active agents.
Repeat the same under
- Settings - Server - Agents - Shows - TheMovieDatabase
- Settings - Server - Agents - Movies - Plex Movie
- Settings - Server - Agents - Movies - TheMovieDatabase
Afterwards, “Refresh Metadata” on the affected items.
