The Plex DLNA Service is 32-bit and
Plex server version is Version 1.16.1.1291
Known issue for months now:
I run a cluster of Plex servers using Docker distributed over multiple bare-metal servers. Since users have been upgrading to 1.15 I’ve been seeing a very large spike in memory usage that just keeps spiking the longer the processes live. The average memory usage used to be around the 300MB RSS but the last few weeks I’ve seen it go up as high as 3GB before my cgroups kill it for OOM reasons. This is an overview of processes sorted by memory usage of one of the servers.
Is this a known bug? If n…
Thanks for the update. I upgraded to 1.16.2.1297 earlier today and will provide another update after it runs for a few days.
I have a problem with plex eating up memory the longer it runs. Right now I restart it every day to release the memory it is using. I am using PMS 1.15. I have optimized the database and cleaned bundles with no help.
The Plex team seems unable to fix it, or it might not be prioritized internally.
