Plex does not see updates to library

I have plenty of problems with movie library:

1. in Video library i have folders. some video within these folders are seen in Plex player correctly, some folders are unseen by Plex. one movie in Plex window is seen under the name of the folder where the movie file is located. Total mess…
2. i added some movies into the Video library, but Plex do not see any updates.
3. the real horror is with my personal video footage - somehow Plex decided to name them (not all, but some) with some imaginary names. E.g. 3 minutes of the footage i have shot with my cat Plex decided that this is Stars War last episode, with thumbnails and release year and stuff.
   Is anybody meeting same problems?
   Why Plex does not understand subfolders at all? Was it not planned in functionality?

2. don’t add your personal videos into a library of the type ‘Movies’. Put them into a separate folder and create a separate library of the type ‘Other Videos’ pointing to it.
