Plex doesnt see content from WD Cloud

Hi,

I’ve connected Plex to my new WD CloudEX2 Ultra.
I’m able to see folder and even files when configuring the media folders - but they keep being empty.
This is the error i get - not sure what else I can do (tried following the troubleshooting)

Looks like you might be getting ahead of things here. You want to make sure your PMS is working locally at least first, and then worry about Remote Access.

Here’s the Quick Start guide linked from the WD PMS download

Once you add your libraries, then you should be seeing your content. If they are empty, you need to fix that first. You should not be proceeding to the next step until the previous step is completed and working. From what you’ve described, it sounds like you’re still at 3. Completing Plex Media Server Setup

Hi,

Thanks for the quick reply,
I have passed this stage and installed the PMS on WD Cloud.
I was able to define the folders (I even see the files in them when setting up the folders).
However, they keep being empty within the plex app.

any advise on what to check next ?

Thanks

I’m not at all familiar with setting up PMS on WD Cloud, so I’m not sure how much assistance I’ll be able to provide. Hopefully someone who has working knowledge can jump in to help.

How did you do the initial install and setup?
Was it from the WD instructions? My Cloud Home: Enable and Configure Plex Media Server
Or the Plex download and instructions? https://support.plex.tv/articles/115003310834-western-digital-my-cloud-home/

It seems like there is a specific folder structure that needs to be used for Plex. Did you move your files here after you did the PMS setup?
