when i load a DVD into my computer (any movie) I use handbrake to encode video. when it comes into Plex it loads the metadata for “Madagascar 3”. i don’t even own Madagascar 3. How do I keep Plex from downloading wrong metadata every time?
Handbrake embeds nonsensical ‘Title’ tags into mp4 files.
Correct or clear the tags. Then Plex Dance the affected movies.
Or do the following:
Settings - Server - Agents - Movies - Plex Movie
Settings - Server - Agents - Movies - TheMovieDatabase
in both places, grab the line ‘Local Media Assets’ and drag it downwards, so it rests underneath ‘Plex Movie’ and ‘TheMovieDatabase’ respectively.
Then Plex Dance the affected movies.
